Algebra I:

Prerequisites:  Pre-Algebra with a grade of ‘C’ or higher.

 This first course in algebra develops the algebraic skills required to solve real-world problems ranging from everyday experience to the sciences and humanities.  Essential course topics include, but are not limited to:  the real numbers and related definitions and postulates; operations on the real numbers; solving equations and inequalities; relations and basic functions; graphing linear equations and inequalities; solving systems of equations and inequalities; properties of exponents; operations with polynomials and rational expressions; factoring polynomials; radicals; quadratic equations; and problem solving.
